…life. π
I don’t know if the gentleman involved is just proclaiming his love, or if flowers weren’t enough to make up for something… π
But I gotta admit this put a big smile on my face:
Celebrating Strasburg, Colorado, a small, friendly town in the plains east of Denver...
I don’t know about the rest of you, but when I shoveled before dinner last night I thought, “Wimpy snow.” I knew I would have to shovel a bit again this morning, but slept confident it wouldn’t be much of a task.
I will never mentally insult the snow again. π
Okay, it wasn’t horrendous…but I will feel what I just did all day. I’m not sure how much there was because of the way it drifts…and after an hour I still have the sidewalks to do. Okay, I’ll admit that I’m hoping the nice guy with the snowblower will do it while I’m working today. π
With the wind and the snow, everyone stay safe. Last I knew I-70 and 36 were both closed…so no reason to even attempt something dangerous right now. Wait a bit for crews to clear things up…
P.S. Is our complex the only one where they just plow down the middle of the road?
World, we present you the one…the only…
Pinewood Derby…
Minion Flamester!!!
Cub Scout Pack 439’s Pinewood Derby is this coming Saturday, February 6. It starts at 9AM at the Strasburg Elementary School. If you have any questions, please contact Pack 439 or me.
In case one picture isn’t enough… π
Fellow Cub Scout Pack 439 Scouts…are you ready to race?!?!?! π

Even better…have a boy in first and fifth grade or who is 7 to 10? Please contact themΒ and see how your youngster can have a ton of fun will improving his skills and growing his character.
…you will get to see me wear this cool name badge. π
Well…you’ll get to see it in mid-February when I become Cubmaster. π
However, join now! Great kids, parents, and leaders. Lots ‘o fun and activities that’ll help your youngin’ gain skills and build their character. If you are interested and want more info, please contact me.
P.S. I was chosen specifically because the wanted someone who, quote, “Wouldn’t be afraid to act crazy.” Now, if that doesn’t sell you on it, what will?! π
P.P.S. I got my badge via QuatermasterStore.com.
Strasburg Rocks! wishes you and yours a Happy New Year!
2015 had its ups and its downs…but, for us, one of its ups was this awesome town and its great people. If you are reading this and do not live in Strasburg, come by for a visit. Although there are probably a couple grumps within our population you could run into :-), it’s far more likely you’ll leave happier than you arrived.
And, if you are going to be in the area and want to say hi, please contact us.
Whether you live in Strasburg or not, may 2016 be your best year ever! It’ll be our first complete year here…and we are looking forward to it!
The sole purpose of Strasburg Rocks! is to celebrate Strasburg, Colorado, a small, friendly town in the plains east of Denver. It does not exist to make money. However, should Strasburg Rocks! produce any net income, it will be donated back to the Strasburg community.
