Well, here is hoping you haven’t gotten sick of my posts about clouds. 🙂
Tonight dad cooked…so on the way home from McDonald’s :-), we saw these scenes (mainly north, east, and south):
Did you know those are called anticrepuscular rays (as compared to the crepuscular rays that fan out from a light source in the clouds)?
Lots of pink…
iPhones only have digital zooms…so a bit of the effect of the pink clouds is lost with the grainy image…
This one is fairly close to how these clouds looked…but the “real” look would have been even more washed out in the bright part. Thus…
…I played more with the exposure to show off the lighting within the clouds.
My wife gets credit noting how it was neat seeing the pink, clouds, and rain through the plants (she noticed it while sitting in the car waiting for me to take pictures).
The same view can change minute-by-minute (although this is shifted east a bit from the previous picture).
That’s a southern panorama (please click on it or any of the other images for a larger version).
Finally, here is a panorama I posted on Facebook. Â Please click through if you want to take advantage of Facebook’s ability to look at a panorama as if you were standing there and looking various directions. Â (It is really slick.)
And while you are on Facebook, please friend me and like our Facebook page.
As I’ve said before…
I. Love. Where. I. Live.
