What a great start to a beautiful day! Although normally we’d be at church on a Sunday morning, our new Strasburg church plant doesn’t start up until next Sunday…so off we went to check out some of today’s activities, starting with a delicious breakfast at the Strasburg Elementary School sponsored by the National Honor Society.
After that it was time for Mr. Ed’s Cool Classic Car Show…and this video will give you a little flavor of it:
I didn’t videotape every entry, but the gallery a bit further down will include photos of every vehicle that was there when I was.
So…we have breakfast…an amazing car show…what next?! Mud volleyball of course!:
As odd as it may seem, this is one of the times I wish that I could have put down the camera and joined in. Well, somewhat wished. 🙂
After that I scootered to meet up with the family at the Strasburg Convenience Store (they headed over early while I grabbed the video and pictures of mud volleyball)…and now I am home and…yet again…on my computer for Strasburg Rocks! loyal fans. 🙂
You guys and gals rock too!
At the bottom of this I’ll post a gallery of every car, truck, and motorcycle that was being displayed at the car show (when we were there), plus the original Facebook Live videos of the car show and mud volleyball. The gallery with all the other 2016 Strasburg Home Town Days (including more mud volleyball photographs) is in Part 1 (and both Part 1 and Part 2 have videos you might enjoy).
What’s left for today? Quite a bit. I think for the Fahrners, however, we are going to limit ourselves to possibly grabbing root beer floats this afternoon (until 4PM) at the Comanche Crossing Museum. See you there?
P.S. Here is Augie pictured with his favorite car:
As for me…I am a classic Mustang kind of guy, but I gotta admit I loved that this Edsel was there!:
